FREE TOUR OF PORTLAND

This is a free, donation / tip based, two hour tour of Portland. The guide was great and took us around to spots we never would have thought to visit.

PORTLANDIA STATUE

Tucked away between some buildings and a stop on the Free Portlandia Tour.

VOODOO DOUGHNUTS

We never went inside this location because of the line that wrapped around the whole building. If you'd like to avoid the crowds try checking out the second Voodoo Doughnuts location (linked below).

(This was the last stop on the free tour.)

VOODOO DOUGHNUTS TOO

What isn't good here? I tried the cotton candy doughnut and it was amazing. They have a great sense of humor when naming the doughnuts.

POWELL'S CITY OF BOOKS

HUGE book store. Multiple floors of books and books and books. Books.

A fancier, boutique-like Goodwill. A completely different shopping experience from the vintage/secondhand places linked below.

HOUSE OF VINTAGE

I could get lost in this place for hours. I found amazing tee shirts and interesting home decor. So cool. I wish I had one back home.

RED LIGHT

In love with this store. Found so many items. Be prepared to have to check a large purse or backpack.

MULTNOMAH FALLS

Enjoy the view from the bottom or get adventurous with a hike to the very top.

4T TOUR: TRAM, TRAIN, TROLLEY, & TRAILS

I believe you can choose any of the four options as your starting point, but we decided to start with the trail. The Marquam trailhead is located right next to the Oregon Zoo. On the Marquam trail you'll hike to Council Crest Park, the city's highest point. This is a great area for a picnic or just a chance to take a second to rest and enjoy the view. From there, the hike continues until you reach the tram. In total, the trail (walking portion) is approximately 4 miles. For a more in-depth guide on this tour check out this pdf from Oregon Metro.

COUNCIL CREST PARK

As previously mentioned, the city's highest point; a great view!

TRAIN

Headed back towards the zoo!
